Special emphasis is directed toward reducing early marriage and delaying first birth; ensuring health and safety; secondary school completion and transitions to employment; and expanding direct access to economic assets.

The Girl Effect
The foundation, in partnership with the NoVo Foundation, United Nations Foundation, and the Coalition for Adolescent Girls, empowers girls and women to create social and economic change in developing countries. The initiative includes financial support from the foundation, celebrity partnerships, fundraising via The Girl Effect website, social media, videos, and conferences designed to advocate for girls in communities, schools, businesses, organizations, and governments.
